The wattage of a microwave oven is usually lower than that of an electric oven. It also cooks faster.

As a result, cooking with a microwave oven is in general much more energy efficient than cooking with an ordinary stove top.

No Need for Ventilation

Due to the fact that microwave cooking generates considerably fewer pollutants, there is no need to use a range hood in conjunction with the microwave oven. A standard range hood consumes an additional 70-300W of power.
